The OMEGA Railmaster watch from 1957 was a simple, practical and elegant model designed for railway employees and those working near electrical fields. Its innovative spirit is reflected in this modernised version, which highlights the exceptional capabilities of the Railmaster. On the reverse, the symmetrical 40 mm case, crafted from stainless steel, is decorated with a wave pattern. On the front, the vertical satin-brushed black dial features satin-brushed stainless steel hands and hollowed-out indexes, all filled with ‘vintage’ Super-LumiNova. The beige ‘Railmaster’ wording applied as a transfer gives it a classic touch. The watch is presented on a fully integrated satin-brushed stainless steel bracelet. The engravings on the caseback remain in the same position at all times thanks to the ‘NAIAD LOCK’ system (patent pending). The watch is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer 8806 movement. Meeting the highest performance standards in the watch industry, as determined by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), it can withstand magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. Proof that this new Railmaster model has lost none of the exceptional anti-magnetic qualities of its predecessor.
