Established in 1881, the tournament has been played on hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York, since 1978. Among its 17 competition courts is the spectacular Arthur Ashe Stadium, the largest in the world, which can accommodate nearly 23,800 spectators.

The fusion of all energies

The US Open is known for its unique energy, much like that of New York, “the city that never sleeps.” Each year, this vibrant and electric tournament is a spectacle that takes place both on the courts and in the stands where the crowd is not afraid to show its enthusiasm. During matches, the energies of the fans, the court and the city merge to galvanize the players.

Rolex Testimonials at the US Open

It is in this electric atmosphere that some matches of this Grand Slam® tournament have entered into legend. Roger Federer's five consecutive titles, from 2004 to 2008, are particularly memorable.

Many other Rolex Testimonees have won the US Open: Rod Laver, Chris Evert, Stefan Edberg, Pat Rafter, Justine Henin, Juan Martín del Potro, Angelique Kerber, Sloane Stephens, Bianca Andreescu and Dominic Thiem. In 2022, Iga Świątek and Carlos Alcaraz added their names to this impressive list, as did Coco Gauff the following year.

So many players who embody the perfection of the gesture and the thirst to surpass oneself.

The tournament of all innovations

The US Open is a place of all innovations: the introduction of the tie-break, the scheduling of evening matches, the implementation of Hawk-Eye Live (a computer refereeing system to check for disputed balls)... everything is done to ensure that the show remains perpetually attractive.
