Worn on all six moon landings, the OMEGA Speedmaster is one of OMEGA’s most iconic watches. This special version draws inspiration from the original 1957 model and the collection’s long history of space exploration.
The 40.85mm satin-finished stainless steel watch features a black dial with a grained matte finish, a rhodium-plated outer ring and indexes made of blocks of white Super-LumiNova with green luminescence.
Its cockpit-inspired display features two opaline counters in the center and satin-finished beveled corners. At 3 o’clock is a 60-minute and 12-hour counter, designed to resemble a “burn rate” indicator. It features a matte orange triangular hand and white transfer numerals. At 9 o’clock, the small seconds display, designed to resemble a target/aim indicator, features a matte yellow varnished hand and a blue artificial horizon.
The hour and minute hands are coated with matte black PVD and blocks of white Super-LumiNova with green luminescence. The central chronograph hand has a varnished orange airplane tip.
This Speedmaster Pilot is presented on a satin-brushed steel bracelet with flat links and OMEGA’s patented screw-and-pin system. This model is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 9900. The watch is presented in a special travel case, with a strap replacement tool and a NATO strap made from KEVLAR® fibres.
